Crysis Books is a division of Crashed Records and Crashed Music, one of Ireland's leading independent music companies which is headed by former IMRO (Irish Music Rights Organisation) chairman, Shay Hennessy. Crysis Books recently published the new novel from writer Michael Feeney Callan. Entitled "Did You Miss Me?" the novel's themes are age, love, family, sex and friendship, viewed through the eyes of a woman in a complex relationship. Hennessy and Callan have collaborated in the past on The Beach Boys 30th Anniversary film, the Perry Como Christmas Special for PBS and the much-missed singer-songwriter Spyder Sympson's music videos. Callan is well known for his work in film and television in the UK and US and has published best-selling biographies on Anthony Hopkins, Sean Connery and Richard Harris. His has spent the last seven years working with the actor-director Robert Redford on an in-depth intimate biography, which will be published in the United States and worldwide shortly. Crysis Books is a new departure for Crashed, which has signed Callan to update his celebrated books on Richard Harris, Jayne Mansfield and Anthony Hopkins. Crysis Books is also currently negotiating with other new Irish writers to establish a broad-based international imprint for quality Irish-originated literature.
